Algoink - Refund and Return Policy

At Algoink, every piece of art is uniquely generated by code and physically drawn by our plotters just for you. Because of the custom nature of our work, we generally do not accept returns or exchanges. However, we are committed to ensuring you love your artwork.

Please read our policy below:

1. Custom & Personalized Orders

Due to the bespoke nature of our products (including custom city maps, spiral portraits, and generative blueprints), all sales are final. We cannot accept returns, exchanges, or cancellations once the production process (drawing) has begun.

  • Order Modification: If you need to change your customization details, please contact us within 24 hours of placing your order. Once the plotting machine starts, changes are no longer possible.

2. Damages and Issues

We pack our artwork with extreme care to withstand shipping. However, accidents can happen. Please inspect your order upon reception. If the item is defective, damaged, or if you receive the wrong item, please contact us immediately so that we can evaluate the issue and make it right.

  • How to Report: Email us at [Your Email Address] within 7 days of delivery.

  • Required Evidence: Please include your Order Number and clear photos of the damaged artwork AND the packaging.

  • Resolution: We will send a strictly free replacement for any item damaged in transit.

3. The "Plotter Aesthetic" (Artistic Disclaimer)

Unlike standard digital printing, our works are drawn using mechanical plotters with real pens and ink. This analog process is what gives Algoink pieces their unique charm.

  • Texture & Variation: Slight variations in ink density, pen pressure, or minor "wiggles" in the lines are characteristic of plotter art and are not considered defects. These prove that your piece is an original physical drawing, not a laser print.

  • We only consider a piece "defective" if there are major ink spills, torn paper, or significant deviations from the design.

4. Lost Packages

If your package is marked as "Delivered" but you have not received it, or if the tracking has not moved for an extended period:

  • Please contact the shipping carrier first.

  • If the issue is not resolved, contact us, and we will work with you to arrange a replacement if the carrier confirms the package is lost.

5. Digital Proofs (If applicable)

For highly customized orders (e.g., custom portraits), we may send you a digital preview for approval.

  • Once you approve the digital proof, Algoink is not responsible for errors (such as spelling mistakes or layout choices) that were present in the approved proof.
